Volunteer Work Highlights
Volunteering with Mirror Foundation
This is a trip where and NGO, Mirror Foundation, and our school, partnered with each other. I and some other leadership position holders went to Thailand to build a school for stateless children and learn more about the poor living conditions there.
Working with SANA (Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association)
After going down to SANA and learning about Ex-drug abusers as part of a class trip, we learnt a lot about the struggles they have with rejoining society, and their difficulties with beating their addictions. We then made games for the beneficiaries of SANA, and wrote notes to encourage them for a better recovery.
YMCA Silver Fiesta Carnival
Volunteered to assist the elderly and take care of them when they attended the carnival, also helping out the various booths which were run by volunteers and some of our own classmates.
